Description: This herbaceous association is currently only described from the East Cascades of Oregon where it was sampled twice at high elevations (2000-2025 m [6560-6640 feet]) on low to moderately steep (0-5%) meadow sites. <i>Carex spectabilis</i> and <i>Lupinus arcticus ssp. subalpinus</i> are codominant on sites. Species richness is low but may include <i>Carex nigricans, Carex scopulorum, Nothocalais alpestris, Polygonum davisiae</i>, and <i>Ligusticum grayi</i>. It is also known to occur in Washington and possibly British Columbia. Additional global information will be added as it becomes available.
