Description: This association is only known from the Santa Monica Mountains region. This woodland association occurs on moderately steep to very steep slopes with variable aspects at low elevations between 58 and 869 m. It is dominated by <i>Quercus agrifolia</i> and <i>Juglans californica</i> in the tree layer. <i>Toxicodendron diversilobum</i> is characteristic in the understory shrub layer. A variety of grasses and forbs occur in the herbaceous layer with <i>Leymus condensatus</i> most frequently occurring.
