Description: This association is only known from the Santa Monica Mountains region. This woodland association occurs on gentle to somewhat steep slopes with variable aspects at low elevations between 119 and 527 m. It is dominated by <i>Quercus agrifolia</i> in the tree layer and <i>Salix lasiolepis</i> in the understory tree layer. A variety of grasses and forbs are often abundant in the herbaceous layer.
