Description: This association has only been described from Zion National Park, Utah. Additional global information will be added as it becomes available. <i>Baccharis emoryi</i> has 35-45% cover in the shrub layer. <i>Salix exigua</i> may be present but with less than 5% cover. Tree species, if present, are saplings. Some herbaceous species of minimal cover present include <i>Equisetum variegatum, Melilotus officinalis, Salsola tragus, Muhlenbergia asperifolia</i>, and <i>Poa pratensis</i>. This association occurs in a mosaic amongst mature ~<i>Populus fremontii - Fraxinus velutina</i> Riparian Woodland (CEGL000942)$$ in Zion Canyon. This association occurs on flat streambanks or stream terraces. Soils are sandy.
