Description: This association has only been described from Zion National Park, Utah. Additional global information will be added as it becomes available. <i>Salix ligulifolia</i> is the only shrub occurring in this willow carr with over 50% cover. Diverse herbaceous vegetation composes a lush, dense herbaceous vegetation layer and surrounding meadow. Some herbaceous species present are <i>Carex rostrata</i> (30% cover), <i>Poa pratensis</i> (10%), <i>Agrostis stolonifera, Phleum pratense, Carex microptera, Maianthemum stellatum</i> (20%), <i>Mentha arvensis</i>, and <i>Mertensia arizonica</i>. This stand occurs above 2290 m (7500 feet). The meadow is positioned in a gently sloping basin with a northern aspect. Soils are moist clay loam with 100% herbaceous vegetation litter cover. Small stream channels meander through the meadow.
