Additional global information will be added as it becomes available. <i>Atriplex spinifera</i> is dominant in the shrub canopy, often occurring with <i>Suaeda moquinii</i> and <i>Isocoma acradenia</i>. The canopy is open, and the herbaceous layer is variable, with seasonal annuals reaching high cover. Stands occur on alluvial fans and old lakebeds perched above current drainages.
