It is an emergent community type subject to daily freshwater tidal inundation and is characterized by the codominance of <i>Lilaeopsis occidentalis</i> and <i>Crassula aquatica</i>. Other taxa include <i>Callitriche</i> spp., <i>Elatine</i> spp., <i>Eleocharis acicularis, Eleocharis palustris</i>, and <i>Limosella aquatica</i>.
