Description: This shrubland association occurs on moderate to steep northwest- to southeast-facing slopes at low to mid elevations between 621 and 879 m. It is characterized by a codominance of <i>Ceanothus oliganthus</i> and <i>Adenostoma sparsifolium</i> in the shrub layer. The herbaceous layer is insignificant. The emergent tree layer includes <i>Quercus agrifolia</i>.
