Description: This shrubland association occurs on somewhat steep to steep southeast- and southwest-facing slopes at low elevations between 17 and 756 m. It is characterized by a codominance of <i>Malosma laurina</i> and <i>Salvia mellifera</i> in the shrub layer. The herbaceous layer is generally insignificant. The emergent tree layer is generally absent.
