Description: Depressional wetlands in uplands, dominated by <i>Vaccinium formosum, Vaccinium fuscatum</i>, and (locally) other heaths, such as <i>Lyonia ligustrina var. foliosiflora, Lyonia lucida</i>, and others. These ponds are smaller, steeper-sided, and flooded for shorter duration than herbaceous-dominated ponds.
