Description: These sandy prairies are dominated by <i>Andropogon hallii</i> and <i>Calamovilfa gigantea</i>. Other characteristic species include <i>Cenchrus spinifex, Eriogonum annuum</i>, and <i>Rhus aromatica</i>. This association apparently ranges from western Kansas and Oklahoma south into Texas. It may extend as far south as the Chihuahuan Desert Ecoregion.
