Description: This association consists of brackish herbaceous wetlands dominated by <i>Spartina patens</i> and <i>Panicum dichotomiflorum</i> and is described from Cumberland Island National Seashore, Georgia. This herbaceous wetland occurs on poorly drained muck soils and has a dense herbaceous layer codominated by <i>Panicum dichotomiflorum var. bartowense, Panicum dichotomiflorum var. dichotomiflorum, Pluchea camphorata</i>, and <i>Spartina patens</i>. Additional species found in small amounts include <i>Bacopa monnieri, Cyperus</i> spp., <i>Echinochloa walteri, Eupatorium capillifolium, Oldenlandia uniflora, Ludwigia palustris, Sacciolepis striata, Schoenoplectus pungens var. pungens, Setaria magna</i>, and <i>Verbena scabra</i>.
