Description: This association occurs in permanently flooded areas around the shores of Lake Waccamaw, a large, shallow, calcareous Coastal Plain lake. <i>Nuphar sagittifolia</i> forms open to moderately dense floating beds on the surface. <i>Eriocaulon aquaticum</i> and <i>Sagittaria isoetiformis</i> occur as sparse emergents. Generally no other vascular plants are present.
