Description: This oak-hickory forest is known from mesic to dry-mesic valleys and uplands of eastern Oklahoma (Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain, and Pushmataha counties), ranging into the Arkansas Ozarks. The canopy contains a mixture of <i>Quercus falcata, Carya tomentosa</i>, and <i>Carya ovata</i>. Other characteristic species include <i>Quercus velutina</i>.
