Description: This community occurs in Texas on saline gypseous clays of the Aguja Formation. It may also occur in northern Mexico. Dominant annuals are <i>Tidestromia carnosa, Kallstroemia grandiflora, Chamaesyce</i> spp., and <i>Pectis angustifolia</i>. Other species include <i>Cathestecum erectum, Atriplex obovata, Neolloydia conoidea</i>, and <i>Echinocactus horizonthalonius</i>.
