Description: This community is broadly defined at this time to include a variety of sparsely vegetated, poorly consolidated gypsum deposits with very sparse vegetation characterized by scattered clumps of <i>Bouteloua breviseta</i> with other gypsophiles, including <i>Mentzelia</i> spp., <i>Sartwellia flaveriae, Anulocaulis</i> spp. It is found in New Mexico and Texas.
