Description: This community is known only from the lower Gulf Coast of Texas. It is an irregularly tidally flooded shrubland codominated by <i>Borrichia frutescens</i> and <i>Spartina spartinae</i>. In some occurrences, these are the only two species present. Other species can include <i>Prosopis reptans, Sarcocornia pacifica, Lycium carolinianum var. quadrifidum</i>, and <i>Batis maritima</i>.
