Description: This mesic forest association occurs on lowlands and mesic slopes in eastern Oklahoma; it should be expected in adjacent states, at least Arkansas. The canopy is typically dominated by <i>Quercus rubra</i> and <i>Quercus shumardii</i>. Other associated species include <i>Acer saccharum, Carya tomentosa, Crataegus viridis, Elymus villosus, Parietaria pensylvanica</i>, and <i>Quercus velutina</i>.
