In Oklahoma, characteristic species are <i>Juniperus virginiana var. virginiana, Quercus stellata, Andropogon gerardii, Carya texana, Quercus marilandica, Rhus aromatica var. aromatica, Rhus glabra, Schizachyrium scoparium, Symphoricarpos orbiculatus</i>, and <i>Tridens flavus</i>.
