Description: This semi-natural woodland is currently sampled from a single national historical park in Hawai`i, and this description is based on occurrences there. Additional global information will be added as it becomes available. It is found on flat sites influenced by sea spray. Stands of this association vary widely in their structure and range from moderately open and tall (5-10 m) to very open (15%) and short (2-5 m). It is by <i>Tournefortia argentea</i> with small amounts of <i>Prosopis pallida</i> and <i>Schinus terebinthifolius</i>. The shrub stratum may be moderately well-developed or sparse and is dominated by <i>Scaevola sericea</i>. Seedlings of the overstory trees and <i>Batis maritima</i> are the most common components of the herbaceous layer.
