This community is typically dominated by species that increase under heavy grazing or proliferate after root plowing such as <i>Opuntia</i> spp. Introduced grasses, such as <i>Cynodon dactylon, Pennisetum ciliare</i>, and/or <i>Dichanthium annulatum</i>, generally dominate the herbaceous stratum.
