Description: This forest occurs along small streams with intermittent flow in regions of very subdued topographic relief in the Outer Coastal Plain of South Carolina and Georgia. The canopy consists of <i>Quercus phellos, Quercus laurifolia, Nyssa biflora, Liquidambar styraciflua</i>, and <i>Acer rubrum</i>. Shrubs include abundant <i>Arundinaria tecta</i> and <i>Sabal minor</i>, with less commonly <i>Viburnum dentatum</i>.
