Name: Abies bracteata Forest Alliance Reference: NatureServe Biotics 2019 Description: This alliance consists of stands dominated by <i>Abies bracteata</i> usually with other trees such as <i>Alnus rhombifolia, Arbutus menziesii, Notholithocarpus densiflorus, Pinus coulteri, Pinus lambertiana, Pinus ponderosa</i>, and/or <i>Quercus chrysolepis</i>. It is limited to fire-protected draws, steep mesic slopes, rocky slopes, ridges, canyon bottoms and ravines; slope aspects are typically northerly or easterly.
