Description: This alliance consists of estuarine tidal marshes dominated by <i>Carex lyngbyei</i> with low species diversity, but codominants can occur, such as <i>Argentina egedii, Bidens cernua, Cicuta douglasii, Deschampsia cespitosa, Distichlis spicata, Eleocharis palustris</i>, and/or <i>Triglochin maritima</i>. Sites are tidal flats and tidal river channel margins that have fluctuations of brackish water, active sedimentation, diurnal flooding and diurnal soil exposure, along the northern Pacific Coast of North America.
