Description: This alliance is currently only described from northern New Jersey. The dominant species are <i>Boltonia montana, Symphyotrichum racemosum</i>, and <i>Mentha arvensis</i>. <i>Panicum rigidulum var. pubescens, Carex pellita, Dichanthelium acuminatum var. fasciculatum, Panicum capillare, Cyperus strigosus</i>, and the macroalga <i>Chara</i> sp. are common associates, as are the bryophytes <i>Hypnum lindbergii, Campylium stellatum</i>, and <i>Amblystegium serpens</i>. This alliance occurs on the slopes and flats of calcareous sinkhole ponds formed in karst landscapes on dolomite with surficial deposits of glacial till, with soils composed of silt loam, silty clay loam, or silty clay, overlaying clay or bedrock.
