Other emergent species may include <i>Leersia oryzoides, Lemna valdiviana, Juncus effusus, Nymphaea odorata, Spirodela polyrrhiza</i>, and <i>Stuckenia pectinata</i>. It occurs in natural ponds and impoundments, including shallow ponds, ditches, beaver ponds, lake margins, and slow-moving streams.
