Name: Corethrogyne filaginifolia - Eriogonum elongatum - Eriogonum nudum Dry Meadow Alliance
Reference: NatureServe Biotics 2019
Description: Corethrogyne filaginifolia, Eriogonum nudum, and Eriogonum elongatum are perennial herbs characteristic of relatively dry (and often somewhat disturbed) settings on slopes. This alliance is common in the interior coastal regions of southern California where it forms open stands with mixtures of native and non-native herbs at the margins of post-fire-recovering coastal scrub and chaparral stands, often adjacent to grasslands or other openings. Most stands are less than 1 hectare in size. It has been documented in western San Diego County, western Mojave Desert, inner Central Coast Ranges (Diablo and Gabilan ranges), Carrizo Plain, southwestern San Juaquin Valley and on Santa Rosa Island.
