Description: This type is comparable to the Guineo-Congolian semi-deciduous rainforest. In Ethiopia it is characterized by unimodal rainfall brought by tropical monsoons with 1300-1800 mm annually. In the canopy, common species are <i>Celtis gomphophylla, Celtis toka, Celtis zenkeri, Lecaniodiscus fraxinifolius, Zanha golungensis, Trichilia prieureana, Alistonia boonei, Antiaris toxicaria, Zanthoxylum lepreurii, Diospyros abyssinica, Milicia excelsa</i>, and <i>Baphia abyssinica</i>.
