Description: This macrogroups encompasses large pans and "vloers" of the Bushmanland area of South Africa situated on average between 900 and 1200m altitude, in a vast flat plain and underlain by granitic Precambrian rocks on the western and northern sides and by Karoo rocks towards the southeast. The surface of the plain is completely flat, claimed to be a dried-up lake estimated to have been 57 km long and 11 km wide. A large section of the pan's surface is moderately covered with grass and rocks.
