Description: This macrogroup corresponds to a slightly moister version of ~Eastern African Bushland &amp; Thicket Macrogroup (M471)$$, co-occurring with it across their distribution. In the Ethiopian portion of the Rift Valley, it occurs at a higher elevation (&gt;1000 m), forming woodlands with species such as <i>Acacia tortilis, Acacia seyal, Faidherbia albida (= Acacia albida)</i>, and <i>Acacia senegal</i>. On drier areas it is represented by bushland and is sparser and shorter with <i>Acacia mellifera, Acacia oerfota</i>, and <i>Acacia senegal</i>.
