Follow Big Grill Ridge from Devils Tater Patch for about 1/2 mile. Then drop off into watershed which has three tributaries that converge about 3800 ft. The plot is between two tributaries . The plot is below the 4200 mark on the Quad Map.
Herb rich red maple/red oak. -- Slope has similar communities with red oak/red maple. Dominance of the two changes depending on topographic position. Red maple is usually dominant in the convex slopes and Red Oak is dominant on the concave slopes. Upper slope is mostly red maple.
