Crooked Arm Trail to ridge, ~ 1.5 miles past Indian Grave Trail split; Ridge begins to flatten along narrow portion. As you gain elevation, trail drops off to left side of the ridge. At switchback, contour along ridge, slope steepens into cliff faces.
Cliff get partial sunlight throughout the day. -- SW facing exposure; Red maple, chesnut oak, red oaks are all nearest to the base, however predominantly open scree slope below the cliff. Chestnut oaks over the top of the cliff. Rhododendron is thick and patchy surrounding the cliff.
