From Wawona entrance station (current one), follow Wawona Rd north approx. 1.7 miles, to large pullout with huge vertical roadcut of pale gravel. Plot is directly across road from pullout, on downhill side.
Plot runs parallel to drainage, with half of plot on steeper drop into drainage. Slope and aspect taken here. Upper area of plot has slope of 25, aspect due west. Majority of Pseudotsuga are on steeper slope into drainage. Lots of large downed trees.
