Head up Route 7 past N. Fork R.S. about 1.65 mi. When road nears N. Fork river park and head E of road about 300 ft into PINCON patch with downfall from 1988 burn. Plot is in N part of this regenerating forest where PINCON is less dense.

Lots of downed big burned conifers and fuels. PINCON is dominant conifer with PICENG moving in. CALRUB makes up most grass cover. Didn't see any PSEMEN in this area. Very early seral forest. Hard to habitat type. Could be too early for certain indic
