Exit Apgar Road to west just past entry station and drive in over bridge crossing McDonald Creek; drive to where road forks and the left fork is closed; park at left fork gate and walk to first drainage crossing trail (old road).
Much standing water at 4-8" deep with protruding shrub crowns and much woody debris in water from willow and other shrubs; by late summer this slough surface is probably dry with soils still saturated.

Very dense Salix swamp that has a light green and very fine-grained signature on color photos; the whole polygon was not viewed but what could be seen from above was very homogeneous with a tall willow (SALDRU) dominant overall.
