This community type is a linear feature which is lined by old PICENG and LAROCC; very unusual for a site this wet to support this much LAROCC (and apparently sound stuff); much local (within) plot undulations due to past windthrow and natural undulations;
Representativeness
Very representative of late seral (mature) wetland with Picea and most unusually LAROCC dominant.

Observation Narrative
On topographic map this whole area E of Fern Creek is depicted as a lowland with swamp-like features, whereas it is planar mostly but having only occasional depressions with OPLHOR, ATHFIL, GYMDRY, CALCAN, etc.; the undergrowth is very patchy with CALCAN
Stand was denser in mature canopy just a few years ago but windthrow has been significant with PSEMEN and PICENG succumbing (lesser ABILAS); there is older windthrow as well.
