Stand straddles fence marking N boundary of EBMUD property and private property, just E of Buena Vista Rd. Stand is an irregular shape that grows along SE-NW line. Arctostaphylos myrtifolia stand is surrounded by dense A. viscida stand. At margins of both stands there is a distinct transition zone (ecotone?) where A. myrtifolia is growing in and under A. viscida. This area was not included as part of stand. There are a few A. viscida shrubs growing in middle of stand as well as some Quercus wislizeni and Pinus sabiniana, which were included as part of the stand.
