Stand width varies from 10 m to 20 m. Cephalanthus is in the 04 height category but went with 03 category because Rosa californica and Rubus discolor are the more dominant shrubs. Riparian Quercus lobata stand with a mosaic of understory trees, shrubs and herbs. Fraxinus latifolia and Salix are frequent in patches while Alnus occurs in only one patch. The stand follows the western edge of a N-S running stream and ends at an open area dominated by Artemisia douglasiana. A similar stand picks up after the gap and occrs on the adacent side of the stream towards the Northern edge of the stand.
