Post-fire mixed chaparral with Tecate cypress. The soils are rocky with exposed red sandstone outcrops and stones. A few mature cypress have survived the fire. Unlike the stand to the south, there is very good natural regeneration of cypress here. Healtly seedlings and young saplings are abundant and range in size from about 6" to 3-4' tall.
