Location Narrative	Stand of Atriplex spinifera is located on top of hillslope and is the only shrub in the area. Shrubs are stunted and there is some decadence and morality in stand. Soils look very alkaline and herbaceous layer is patchy. A lot of open ground. Looks like a lot of past bioturbation but not recent. About 2% AC shrub mortality
