The stand is adjacent to the southern cliff edge of Table Mtn on a rocky slope above a swale to the north. The rocks are largely covered with Selaginella hansenii and moss. There are large patches of Selaginella hansenii growing on the ground between the rocks as well. The remaining vegetation is primarily annuals and forbs and scattered individuals of Eriogonum, Poa, and Eriodictyon.

Also found Eriodictyon on the upper half of the south face of the table top covered primarily by Selaginella and Lupinus nanus. The lower half of the cliff sides are Quercus wislizeni woodlands.
