Location Narrative ? Plot on a north-facing slope directly below New Melones Dam lookout. Open Pinus sabiniana-Quercus wislizeni/Aesculus californica woodland. Quercus douglasii also present in stand. Toxicodendron diversilobum in varying density throughout stand; annual grass dominant in the herbaceous layer. Described trend code as increasing because of presence of Pinus sabiniana and Quercus douglasii seedlings (1-2 m in ht.) in plot. As move eastward within stand, Toxicodendron diversilobum becomes dense, Aesculus californica decreases and numerous mature Quercus douglasii present.
