Open Pinus sabiniana-Quercus douglasii woodland on NW-facing slope. On south side (uphill) of Shell Road below Table Mntn approx. 0.5 mi east of west BOR gate. Pinus sabiniana very sparse. Large openings in canopy. Exotic annual grassland understory. Surrounded by Quercus wislizeni woodland to east and west. Dense Pinus sabiniana found beyond south end of releve. Pinus sabiniana seems to belong more to Quercus wislizeni woodland or is in an ecotone between the Quercus douglasii and Quercus wislizeni woodland. Aesculus californica also denser at south end of releve (and slope), however, scattered individuals found as continue donwslope towards road through Quercus douglasii woodland.
