Location Narrative ? Border vegetation surrounding stock pond west of Peoria Ridge Road approx. 0.5 mi north of intersection with Shell Road and Peoria Flat access road. Wetland vegetation dominated by Eleocharis macrostachya. Eleocharis macrostachya occurs in a band surrounding water and extends to border with annual grassland. Eleocharis macrostachya cured beyond a 4 meter distance from pond. Openings without Eleocharis macrostachya find Crypsis vaginifolia and several forb species. Polypogon monspeliensis, Gnaphalium palustre, Lythrum hyssopifolium occur in drier upland part of stand.; Historically a stock pond but now fenced to exclude livestock.
