General Landscape Description: Sea level fen, approximately 560' N-S, bordered by Phragmites on E, maple-blackgum woods on the W, holly-juniper-blackgum woods on the S, and maple-dominated swamp on the NE. A short distance to the N, past a ditch and a wooded swamp, is another fen.

Community Type: sea level fen
Community Description: Sea level fen, approximately 560' N-S, bordered by Phragmites on E, maple-blackgum woods on the W, holly-juniper-blackgum woods on the S, and maple-dominated swamp on the NE. Fen is wettest on the N end; gradually goes uphill to the S. There is some open water. Wettest section is dominated by Scirpus pungens, Typha decodon, and Eleocharis sp. Drier sections have Cladium, Thelypteris palustris, Panicum virgatum and Spartina patens.
