Description: This community occurs in seasonally flooded interdune ponds in sand dune landscapes of Trans-Pecos Texas. Baccharis salicifolia and Baccharis neglecta dominate the shrub layer, and Prosopis glandulosa var. glandulosa can also be present. Herbs include Eustoma exaltatum, Cyperus spp., Xanthium strumarium, and the rare species Cyperus onerosus. Wetter interdune swales have a willow-dominated community, Salix exigua / Baccharis salicifolia - Baccharis neglecta / Schoenoplectus spp. Woodland (CEGL004587).
