Description: This is a riparian community with distribution at least covering the Snake River area. It occurs on sandy bars and deltas with alluvial gravel and cobble. Schoenoplectus acutus (= Scirpus acutus) and Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani (= Scirpus validus) may occur along the edge of the riverbanks.
