Name: Acer negundo / Equisetum arvense Forest Reference: Western Ecology Working Group of... Description: This plant association occurs in the Overthrust Mountains of northeastern Utah and possibly adjacent Idaho and Wyoming. The association occurs on low gradient stream terraces in narrow valleys below 2000 m in elevation. Acer negundo dominates the overstory with a dense understory of Equisetum arvense. Other shrubs and herbaceous species are uncommon with occasional stems of Maianthemum stellatum (= Smilacina stellata), Mentha arvensis, Elymus glaucus, and the introduced grasses Agrostis stolonifera and Poa pratensis.  Accession Code: VB.CC.25472.ACERNEGUNDOEQUI Plot-observations of this Community Concept: 0
