Description: This low-growing subalpine and alpine meadow type has been described from the Wind River Mountains of west-central Wyoming and the Medicine Bow Mountains of south-central Wyoming. It occurs in areas with late-lying snowbanks. Plant species composition varies, but Sibbaldia procumbens contributes the most cover, and a number of other species usually are present, especially Potentilla diversifolia and Polygonum bistortoides.
