Description: This association is found on volcanic parent materials in the subalpine zone of a limited area of the Olympic Mountains, Washington. Sites are flat to moderately sloping and typically on dry southwestern exposures. The vegetation is dominated by a mixture of grasses and forbs, the dominant species being Festuca idahoensis and Delphinium glareosum. Lomatium martindalei, Eriophyllum lanatum, and Lathyrus nevadensis are characteristic.
